NEUROBORICUAS
Neuro Boricuas is a student organization that promotes neuroscience and research among Puerto Rican youth. María I. De Jesús-Burgos, works as mentor of Neuro Boricuas UPR-Cayey Chapter.
Members of the De Jesús' Lab and Neuro Boricuas collaborate to bring the excitement of scientific discovery through outreach activities, like Explore Your Brain in Las SanSe. This activity was created by Dr. Manuel Díaz-Ríos in 2018, on the premises of the Institute of Neurobiology in Old San Juan, and has been done yearly ever since. The main objective is to teach neuroscience to children and adults that visit the famous San Sebastián Street Festival.
