WHAT WE DO:

About the De Jesús' Lab.

Our laboratory has two main projects: The first project is an in-vitro study which focuses on understanding the possible molecular mechanisms involved in the role of estradiol in the function of midbrain dopaminergic neurons. The second uses the Caribbean hermit crab, Coenobita clypeatus, as a bioindicator to study the effects of anthropogenic noise on the behavior of animals in the coastal zone of Puerto Rico.

WHY RESEARCH?

The engine that keeps research running is the student community.  With their hard work, patience and passion they dive into the innovation and curiosity that is needed in research.

Here some of those students will let you know what they have obtained, what has challenged them and what they liked the most about their research experience.

This webpage is administered by undergraduate students only.
